White Orca Spotted off Alaskan Coast
A rare sighting was caught on tape this past month. In the end of February, while we were working on Indiana Web Development, scientists were conducting different acoustic studies and happened across the mythed “white” Orca, also known as the “Killer” whale, and sent everyone on the ship scrambling for their camera. The camera’s were found in time to capture and document the orca and the scientific community is excited to finally document these whales that have been sighted between Alaska and the russian coast since as early as 1993. Although these “white” Orca’s are not true albinos as scientist state that true albino orca’s typically do not live very long and usually die young with health complications. Before beginning the Indiana web development company | McGlinchy Media & Design, llc - I lived in Snohomish, Washington north of Seattle, Washington and studied marine life in school. So I am very fascinated by marine activity. It is neat to finally see a documented photograph of the white orca.
